Who we are
Sparkstager is a virtual staging service run by No Hype Labs. We decide how the information described here is used, and we are who you contact about it: the support form in the app.
What we collect
- Account
- Your name and email address. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash, so nobody can read it. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google instead.
- Sign-ins
- The IP address and browser type of each signed-in session, so a session can be recognized and ended.
- Projects
- What you enter about a property: its address, nickname, listing number and private notes.
- Photos
- The photos you upload, and every staged version made from them.
- Staging choices
- The style, furnishing level, room size and written instructions you give for each photo, and the defaults you save in Settings.
- Billing
- Your plan, its status and its billing dates, read from our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
- Which trial emails we have sent you, and whether you unsubscribed from them.
- Support
- A message you send through the support form is emailed to our inbox with your name and email, so we can reply.
- Usage
- Which pages you view and which actions you take, such as starting or downloading a staged photo, and the cost of the AI calls each photo used.
How we use it
- To run the service: store your projects, stage your photos and show them back to you.
- To bill you, and to decide what your plan allows.
- To send account email, such as verification and password resets, and during a trial, a few emails about it. Trial emails carry an unsubscribe link.
- To answer support requests.
- To find and fix errors, and to understand which parts of the product are used.
We do not sell personal information, we do not use your photos to train AI models, and we do not show your photos to anyone else or use them in our marketing.
Who receives it
These services process information for us, and only for the purpose listed. Each has its own privacy terms.
- Render
- Hosts the application and its database. Everything the database holds, listed above.
- Cloudflare R2
- Stores photographs and nightly database backups. The photos you upload, the staged versions made from them, and the backups.
- Anthropic
- Reads each photo before staging, to check it can be staged and to plan the room. The photo, and the style, furnishing level, room size and instructions you chose for it.
- kie.ai
- Generates the staged image. The photo, fetched through a link that expires, and the staging plan built from your choices. It keeps its own copy of each image it generates.
- Polar
- Takes payment and runs subscriptions, as merchant of record. Your account id from us. Your email, card and billing details you enter on Polar's own checkout page; they never reach us.
- Amazon SES
- Sends account and product email. Your email address and name, and the message being sent.
- PostHog
- Product analytics. Your name and email once you sign in, and which pages and actions you use. It never receives photos, project names, addresses or instructions.
- Sentry
- Error reports. Technical details of a failure, with ids and status codes. It is configured to receive no names, emails, photos or project details.
Where it is processed
No Hype Labs is based in India. The services above store and process information in the United States and other countries, so your information may be handled outside the country you live in.
How long we keep it
- Account and project information: for as long as the account exists.
- Photos: until you delete them. Deleting a project, or a staged photo, removes the original and every staged version from storage, not just from the screen.
- An upload that never finished: removed after 1 hour.
- Backups: the database is backed up every night, and each backup is kept for up to 36 days. Our hosting provider also keeps 3 days of history for recovery. Information you delete stays in these until they expire.
- Cost records: kept with your account id after you delete a photo, because they record what the service cost to run. They hold no photos and no project details.
- Copies held by the services above, such as Polar's billing records and the images kie.ai generated, follow those services' own retention rules.
Closing your account
You can delete any project or photo yourself, at any time, from the app. To close your account entirely, email the support form in the app from the address you signed up with. We will delete the account, its projects and every stored photo within 30 days and confirm when it is done. If you have a paid plan, cancel it first in Settings, under Billing, so it does not renew.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can change your name and password in Settings yourself. Email the support form in the app for anything else, and we will answer within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we handled a request, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live. We would like the chance to fix it first.
Children
Sparkstager is a business tool for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information about children.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
